Located in the town of Benasque, where you can discover the historic center and see buildings of great architectural value such as the parish of San Marcial, which mixes different styles in its structure and decoration.

The Benasque Valley keeps a perfect balance between nature and human activity. The roof of the Pyrenees acts as a reference in this great symphony of peaks, glacial cirques, lakes and villages. Along with the valleys of Chistau and Barrabés, the Benasque is part of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.
It is also important to mention that Benasque is a place with a lot of scientific and cultural movement. It has the Pedro Pascual science center, which brings together scientists from all over the world.

As for the cultural terrain, the renowned International Chess Open which has been held since 1981 and which has gathered hundreds of chess players from around the world in the Villa de Benasque. In addition to festivals of yoga, theater, invisible cinema, musicals and sports competitions (basketball, dance, marathons ...).

With respect to the natural environment, the fauna has hazel trees, rowan trees and birches (these will be found in the areas of lower height), on the other hand, in the wettest areas we can see beech, pine and fir trees and at higher elevations the Scots pine gives way to black pine.

And as for the fauna, in this environment there are marmots, easy to detect due to their high-pitched whistles, wild boar and chamois, which are the largest mammals easier to observe, but there is also the snow ptarmigan, the Pyrenean triton, the viper Aspid, griffon vulture, bearded vulture and the golden eagle, resist the harshness of the highest levels.

We can enjoy this environment making the hiking trails, perfectly signposted and of different temporality and difficulty.
